Location was great - within walking distance to create restaurants and bars. Mexico City is so affordable with the Peso at 17/18 and many nice places to stay safely. Craig and his co-owner partner, Jorge, want all their guests to feel like they’re staying with friends (something other Red Tree House, Mexico City, reviews also point out).

This is my favorite place to stay in Mexico City. The staff are wonderful and the setting is peaceful. Love the chance to meet and chat with other guests. Our staff of experienced locals are happy to help take care of arrangements from ride services to tour guides and dining reservations. We are inspired by the history and variety of Mexico City's art and culture.
The free breakfast includes a rotating local special and is served in the tree-filled courtyard. Free beer and wine are also offered every evening, though the property isn't suitable for guests with children under 8. Those needing a more kid-friendly hotel may want to consider Hotel Geneve Ciudad de Mexico, which can arrange babysitting services if needed.

We are constantly complimented on our staff who go out of their way to anticipate people’s needs and to pleasantly address requests. You will always find yourself being greeted with a welcoming smile. It's not possible to stay at this property for coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine purposes. CashThe Red Tree House accepts these cards and reserves the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival. As a preferred choice of accommodation for many visitors, we have guests coming and going from different parts of the world. Begin each morning with a warm regional breakfast from our open kitchen and a shared table in one of our garden patios.

Our aim is to make this space like a visiting a good old friend. You will find tasteful artwork and hosts that you will end up calling friends. Then a family bought it and raised a family of two children. Now the boys are adults and every time they come by they are amazed of the beautiful changes we have made to their childhood home. Cribs and extra beds aren't available at this property.
The Red Tree House (Bed and Breakfast), Mexico City (Mexico) Deals

The Chilpancingo metro stop is four blocks away, a seven-minute walk, and makes moving about the city much easier. Destinations like the Zona Rosa are 15 minutes away by metro (a 25-minute walk), while downtown (home to sights like the Museo de Bellas Artes) is 30 minutes away by metro. Mexico City International Airport is a 30- to 40-minute drive from the hotel depending on traffic.
It's a bit quirky, but it's beautiful and warm, and has the feeling of staying in a friend's home rather than a hotel. Guests enter from the tree-lined street into the cozy lobby with a small front desk at the back. There is vibrant contemporary Mexican artwork throughout, and a red glass chandelier hangs from the ceiling. One of the hotel's best features is its furnished courtyard with a jacaranda tree, many other plants and flowers, and fountains.
Mexico City’s number one B&B by providing its guests with genuine hospitality and personal service not found in standard accommodations.
Breakfast is included in room rates and is served in the courtyard each morning. It consists of coffee, tea, juice, pastries, fruit, cereal, and a Mexican specialty that changes each day. Free wine and beer are served in the courtyard in the evening. A computer and printer are set up in the Living Room for guests to use, and the player piano is available for entertainment. Children must be older than 8 years of age to stay here and guests should know that a dog resides in the house (guests are not allowed to bring pets). In a small property like this, service makes a major difference, and the staff is exceedingly accommodating and helpful.
We enjoyed the common areas and nightly happy hour that encouraged interacting with other guests. The staff was always available to help with all requests. Small, boutiquey and personal vibe rather than feeling like a hotel. Breakfast was wonderful every morning in the beautiful courtyard with the amazing tree. The breakfast was lovely and Victor took great pride in introducing the guests to the dishes of Mexico.
The Red Tree House is not just a hotel--it is an experience. Our room was comfortable, quiet and spacious, and the location is excellent. In our relatively short stay, we met lots of interesting and lovely people, mostly retirees from the US. We have traveled extensively throughout the world (especially in Latin America), the RTH is probably our favorite. The Red Tree House is housed in a residence built in the 1930s that has reputedly hosted artists and writers over the years.
